Sister Souljah is best known for her work as a political activist and educator of underclass urban youth. She lives in New York with her husband and son. A graduate of Rutgers University, she is a beloved personality in her own community.

In this electrifying novel, New York Times bestselling author and “an important voice in American literature” (Jada Pinkett Smith) Sister Souljah returns to the story of her beloved character, Midnight.Handsome, young, Muslim, and married to two women living in one house along with his mother, Umma, and sister, Naja: can Midnight manage all that he has on his plate? He is surrounded by Americans who don’t share or understand his faith or culture, and adults who are offended by his maturity, intelligence, and his natural ability to make his hard work turn into real money. Will his manhood be taken, broken, or altered? Can he maintain his faith? Outnumbered, overruled, and deeply envied—how can he possibly survive? Will the streets convert him? What can he keep? What must he lose?. He is calm, confident, and cool, Ninja-trained and powerful, but one moment of rage throws this Brooklyn youth into a dark world of dirty police, gangs, guns, drugs, prisons, and dangerous inmates. Everything he ever believed, every dollar he ever earned, and all of the women he ever loved—including his mother—are at risk

IT DOESN'T ADD UP!!!! **SPOILERS!!!!**Tsk, tsk, tsk.I had such high hopes for this book but I was let down, yet again. I don't even know where to begin. This book created way more questions than it answered. Does she even remember what happened in Coldest Winter Ever? Or was she just hoping that her readers would've forgotten and that way she would be able to create an entire new storyline for Midnight? In CWE, Winter asked Midnight if he had any children and he said that if he did, people would know. So why didn't we know? What happened to his wives and children? He had no one when he was working. Where is Midnight from Coldest Winter I only have myself to blame. I bought this 3rd installment to this unfamiliar boy named Midnight. I was hoping I would get to see a glimpse of the Midnight From CWE. What happened to the Midnight from the CWE? 3 looong books later and he is even an adult yet he hasnt had one birthday since a Gangster love? He has married to non Black females neither born in Sudan or Muslim he has all these businesses. Must we forget his distain for American Black females. He doesnt reflect the brother I admired in CWE. The one thing that is consistent is the obsurb way he falls in love with f. M. Hassan said Inconsistent with what he is supposed to be. I have a lot of problems with Sister Souljah's potrayal of Midnight as a Muslim, such as:1. His disdain of African-American Muslims which is a predjudice that is completely outside of what Islam is supposed to be."Inconsistent with what he is supposed to be" according to M. Hassan. His isolation of himself from other Muslims, and from guidance by an Imam, again something which is inconceivable to a real Muslim.Inconsistent with what he is supposed to be I have a lot of problems with Sister Souljah's potrayal of Midnight as a Muslim, such as:1. "At a time when manhood is misrepresented, misunderstood and under attack, Souljah provides the blueprint of manhood through a fictional character named MIDNIGHT." (Husain Abdullah, Kansas City Chiefs, NFL)
