Your last sentence just blew me away! After I read it, the river just opened up and my tears flowed! OH, my did that. "Eagerly awaited -- worth the wait!" according to Dixie P.. The character, Jack Stratton, has been a favorite of mine since the first book about him, Girl Jacked. This novel takes us back to Jack's life when he was ready to attack his future with both hands -- before he was an officer of the law, before the military.I really enjoy these novels as written by Mr. Greyson. He vividly draws a picture I can almost see and touch. I find all his characters to be very real as I read about them.In this new novel, it was fun to read about familiar characters before they become the adults I've come to know in all the Jack Stratton novels. Jack's drive to find the answers and bring justice are just as stron. An exceptional story from an exceptional author.
