A must read book. I got this book on audible and listened to it over a long car trip. It was totally mesmerizing and ultimately fascinating. While the basic material is of course utterly dark, I was able to listen without taking breaks and I was always interested and never repulsed by this book. All the information it provides is available to us piecemeal, but what this author does is provide a compelling coherent portrait of the many threads of racism in the U.S. pulled together in a stunni.
