A fan of blueprints series Yasmin Gives concise poignant information in an easy to use format. I use this as a supplement to my regular text. The vignettes are good also.. Not sure what others are seeing but here's what they didn't This is a long read but I hope it saves some other med students from getting stuck with a horrendous text days before their shelf. I bought this for my pediatric clerkship and am currently using it to study for my shelf exam. I'm not sure why there are any positive reviews; it's probably a few med students attempting a self fulfilling prophecy or friends of the authors. I've actually read about half of it by now and have skimmed a great part of it, here's what I don't like and why (with specific examples if you care. "Didn't cover enough or covered low-yield too thoroughly" according to John D. Townsend. The book seemed pretty thorough for a review book, but after studying this book backward and forward, and then taking the shelf, I don't feel it emphasized what NBME tested on for pediatrics.
