Kwame Alexander has outdone himself with his wonderful use of words and unique poetry style to create an entertaining novel. Once again, Kwame Alexander has outdone himself with his wonderful use of words and unique poetry style, to write a book about the coming of age of an eighth grade boy. Nick Hall, the main character, hates words. This avid soccer fan and player, is the son of a University Professor that has written a dictionary of unusual words. Nick is push. Kaity said Students loved this book. Students loved this book! They love how everything is written in poetry which makes it a quicker read, but they read and reread to find new meaning in his books. It also was great for higher level readers that were boys, as sometimes its hard to find books that are not Science Fiction for high level readers who are boys.. JAZ said Odd writing style.
