"This book is special!" according to Young Mensan BookParade. That was a funny book. My favorite character was the bear. He started off with 'I want my hat back.' And then he looked for it by asking a fox, a frog, a rabbit (who was telling a lie), a turtle, a snake hanging upside down, a mole in a hole, and last a deer. Nobody knew where it was. Then he thought about the rabbit. What the bear did to the bunny to take back his hat was a surprise and a secret. At the end, when a squirrel came, the bear did something a lot like wh. Helen said Fabulous plot and illustrations!. My 6-year-old daughter and I love this book. Turns out Jon Klassen is a fabulous author as well as illustrator. We have read it many times and usually I read the part of the bear and she reads the part of the other animals. We think it is very funny. The first time we read it she guessed that the bear ate the rabbit. I doubted it because I figured people would get all upset over a bear eating a rabbit when in fact bears do eat meat when they can.
