I sort of used this and I passed the N3 last year Sarah I passed the JLPT N3 this past year, through using this series even though I did not complete all of the books. This book just list vocabulary for the most part. I think the vocabulary in this book is really useful, especially since it teaches so much every day vocabulary that the Genki textbook series did not teach me and it would have been useful to have gone through this book before I studied abroad in Japan for a few months. I also used StickyStudy Kanji on the iOS app store to study with as well; it has a list of JLPT N3
