I wasn't carrying one along until I bought this one for the only other one I have is a large home copy, which is also the New International Version,(NIV). Solid Bargain For Large Print Compact I picked up this bible just recently for taking to church every Sunday. I wasn't carrying one along until I bought this one for the only other one I have is a large home copy, which is also the New International Version,(NIV). I have read or at least been exposed too many of the other versions of the holy book and prefer this one for its easy interpretation, and which in my opinion relates with little change as to the KJVs true meaning. (This is a personal choice and opinion on my part, and something one has to decide for themselves). When I set out to buy a compact bible I was surprised at how hard it became with all the choices. I. Good Quality, Easy to Read I bought this from Amazon because I wanted to replace my King James Version Bible. Though I respect the KJV writing style, I feel it can be hard to translate at times because the vocabulary and grammar doesn't sync with the way people speak today. The bible has a hard cover with large print. There's really not much I can say other than it's a good quality print. Holy I purchased this bible for church services. This is a plain good looking bible with large printing. The pages are very thin.The price is excellent. I would have wanted to know the quality and weight of the paper before purchasing. I would be willing to pay a few dollars more for heavier weight paper. A person has to be very careful when turning pages and you cannot move too fast because the pages will tear easily.
