This one seems to have Harry moving to a new level. Rather than his usual jaded, cynical selfhe seems, welltired. The characters are well drawn, and you like them. The story is engaging. Overall, a good read. Engrosing, Fascinating Story Details Kept My Interest This was my first Bosch book. Enjoyed the police investigation details and Bosch's skills as a detective as he unfolds the clues. I read mostly spy action books which are very fast-paced and full of action, so it took a me a while to get into the slower pace of a Bosch book - but I found it fascinating as the story unfolded. Turned me into a Bosch fan and plan to read many more Bosch books. Connelly is now on my list of favorite authors.
