Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down!. Smart Blonde said Heart-warming novel about loss and moving forward…into the light.. While many parts of the story were predictable this novel was very enjoyable—I read it in a weekend. Two of my favorite characters are Gloria and Miriam and the dynamic friendship they have. Much of the dialogue between them made me laugh out loud! Most of the other characters are well developed, too. And there were a few twists—like the letter from an angel—that both surprised and pleased me. I was a little surprised that it took to the end of the story to discover exactly how Michael died; it would have been fine to know that earlier instead of keeping me guessing every time he was m.
