"The Couple Next Door" according to Ashrae. Oh my goodness, this book just blew me away! Just when I thought I'd worked it all out nicely - BAM - all change!So, with their babysitter cancelling on them, Anne and Marco leave their baby, Cora, at home whilst they "pop" next door for a dinner party. It'll be fine - they have the baby monitor with them and they go to check on her every half hour and they're only nex. Bubbeme said I was sucked in during the first few chapters. Yes, it was a fast read. Yes, I was sucked in during the first few chapters. But as the plot started to build, I felt like I was reading a Lifetime Movie script. Remedial at best. The characteristics of the major players were glossed over until the big bang at the end. I won't give it away, it's not worth it. If you want a fast suspenseful book, this is it. If you want. "Her baby" said at least 1000x The book wasn't bad. It was a quick read and I liked the plot. However, it was a bit repetitive and I swear to god how many times can one write "her baby". Never her daughter, her kid, her child, Cora (kids name). 3 times on every page "her baby". I started to keep count. Tooooooo much
