I bought this in anticipation of "Dot Day" (Sept. 15) to use in speech/language therapy.This is such a sweet book about a young girl (although by the picture I kept calling her a boy!) who doesn't think she can draw. Her art teacher gave her confidence, and she in turn passed that on to another little boy who had said he couldn't draw a straight line with. Topher Gee said Belongs in everyone's personal library. This is a fabulous story for all ages. I keep a couple of copies on hand to give out as gifts. Terrific pictures, subtle use of color, and an important story told in a gentle manner combine to make this one of my favorite kids' books of all time.. Favorite! Mare This is now my favorite child's book. I give it to new babies too. It's never too early to learn that you have something unique to contribute.
