I've only read the first two Jack Reacher stories so far, but am looking forward to the rest. I'm convinced that they will be just as good, or better.. "Great backstory!" according to Shep. Really a necessary title for filling in the blanks in Reachers life. I loved that this book humanizes the hero a bit, but not too much. I skipped from book two to book eight and I'm very glad that I did since my perception of Reacher is better informed and broader now. His mother had a huge role in shaping his character and it will change how I look at his actions from here on."Do the right thing".. Someone suggested I read this book. I only recently medic53 Someone suggested I read this book. I only recently started reading novels. It was OK. Hopefully some of Lee Child's other Jack Reacher books will be a little more adventurous. Oh lets see 3/4 of the way through the book Jack figures out who done it. He must have been hit by a lightning bolt because up until that point he didn't have a clue.
