anything Gladwell writes is awesome. Having read all of his books Probably One of Gladwell's Top Books, Again, anything Gladwell writes is awesome. Having read all of his books, I think I'd rate "The Tipping Point" his second best next to "Outliers." His chapter about Connectors, Mavens, and Salesmen, says it all. Using Paul Revere as the ultimate member of this triple go-getting group is a great way to look at how the American Revolution succeeded. The "Magic Number of 150," its connections to the best-selling "Ya-Ya Sisterhood," and the initial success of Methodism with John Wesley's religious societies, rings very true. Again, read everything Gladwell writes and you will not be disappointed.. Stoddgee said Terrific book. Terrific book. It will give you loads of new questions to ask when thinking about the world around you, and new ways to ask them. Gladwell's speaking voice is excellent. He makes it sound as though he's having a conversation with you, rather than reading to you. This is probably not quite as captivating as the Freakonomics books, but is well worth the time. It's an excellent driving book, for those of you who like audiobooks in the car. The beginning is a little anecdotal rather than objective, which put me off a bit, but it gets better and better the further it goes. Perhaps I just became more accepting of the style. In any case, tr. "Great concept, great book, however lacks tangible action steps that I can perform to cause a tipping point." according to Amazon Customer. When I first read the book I was excited because I thought I will be able to get tangible action steps that I can take and run with and apply that will cause a tipping point phenomenon in my marketing efforts. However, I did not find those tangible action steps. I gave it 2 stars just because of tangible actions that I can take, However, as a concept of the tipping point it is very relaxing to know that a huge change can be caused by a small change.
