And that is what makes Tana French one of the best thriller writers out there. The Trespasser kept me happily discombobulated, guessing at an ending that I didn’t see coming. An Best Book of October 2016: Detectives Steve Moran and Antoinette Conway are now partners on the Murder Squad. --Seira Wilson, The Book Review. They’ve been handed a case that at first looks like every other low-energy domestic they’ve ever been given--but during a routine interview, the murdered woman’s friend drops a clue that leads them to suspect this could be bigger than they had imagined. Much bigger. Contentious squad room politics add to their frustration as the detectives are led in conflicting directions by red herrings, dead ends, and warped perceptions

"TANA FRENCH CRAFTS A COMPELLING MURDER MYSTERY!" according to A Journey Without Map. The Trespasser by Tana French, the sixth instalment in the Dublin Murder Squad series, is about a female detective with a strong personality. She is no ordinary detective. She is rough, tough and dangerous but there is a streak running in her that is soft and sentimental. Yet, our protagonist is unable to maintain a semblance of working relationship with other members of the squad. I’m sure most of them would scream in delight if she is forced out of it. And readers who are familiar to the Dublin Murder Squad series will remember her as the only female member of the squa. "A good read, but not her best" according to Theresa Alan. This is not my favorite Tana French book. In The Trespasser, Detectives Antoinette Conway and Steve Moran are assigned what they think is a run-of-the-mill domestic dispute gone horribly awry. After all, there is no forced entry and they know that she was meeting a date that night. They do think there is something suspicious about the way Detective Breslin wants them to arrest the boyfriend ASAP, but despite his hurry, they do their best to look into the few things at odds with making this an open and shut case. The problem with this book, unlike other French’s novels, is. A haunting, beautiful masterpiece. The worst part of any Tana French novel, for me, is finishing and coming to the sad realization that it will be another couple years before I am able to experience another novel that leaves the same impression on me. In fact, if anyone has any recommendations as to authors who you feel are reminiscent of French's style of writing, pass them on! I have yet to come across one.The novel is about partners Antoinette and Stephen who are handed a case that appears easy enough to solve - a lover's tiff gone wrong. While that is the basis of the novel, there are actually several diffe

There’s a shadowy figure at the end of Antoinette's road. She “inspires cultic devotion in readers (The New Yorker) and is “the most important crime novelist to emerge in the past 10 years” (Washington Post).“Atmospheric and unputdownable.” – People In bestselling Tana French’s newest “tour de force,”* being on the Murder squad is nothing like Detective Antoinette Conway dreamed it would be. And everything they find out about Aislinn takes her further from the glossy, passive doll she seemed to be. Aislinn's friend is h
