I am not saying that the book is not worth the cost, just that I feel like the cost of the book makes it inaccessible to man. "A must read for anyone brought up in the United" according to Oceantash. A must read for anyone brought up in the United States. Systemic racism is everywhere but if you identify as white, you probably almost never think about it. This book while increase your awareness and understanding of white privilege in America and how it's oppressing our fellow humans.. Amazon Customer said DiAngelo does an excellent job of using anecdotes. Agree with previous reviews, this is a must-read for anyone born in the United States! DiAngelo does an excellent job of using anecdotes, hard data, and theory to help the reader understand racism as a system and white privilege as inevitable. As a white person, no matter where you are in your journey of waking up to these realities, this book will be helpful to you.
