"Loved it!" according to Noelle. I read this with my third graders on my iPad projecting it with a document camera I left the print small so they had to study the pictures and think about what the problem was on each page by looking at what happened on the left side and what would happen if everyone did it on the right side. Then I'd enlarge the print and have someone read the page. It was a great story structure and the students are working hard to create a shortened version of their own. They have had a great time with this book!. My son's new favorite book! We have "had" to read this book every night for nearly 2 weeks now! My son loves it, it's straight forward and the pictures offer up a chance for us to discuss the repercussions of the young mans poor choices/actions. We use the phrase "what if everybody did that!" all the time time when we see things out and about.. "The Greater Good" according to Ibed. Enlightening. Helps children see that a seemingly innocuous action when done by "everybody" can be detrimental to the greater good. On the other hand, there are some things when done by "everybody" can be beneficial to the greater good.
