"Review from Books That Heal Kids" according to Books That Heal Kids. I have been wanting this book FOREVER. It was picked as one of our Book of the Month selections at school so copies were ordered for everyone! So why is this book so uber cool in my opinion? It teaches kids ALL about their brains but most importantly:•learning new things strengthens the brain•making mistakes is one of the best ways your brain learns and grows•you can STRETCH the part of your brain that controls your feelingsAnd much moreDon't these seem like things kids should know and understand? And shouldn't we be reinforcing th. Cool book, a bit technical for my four year old Amazon Customer I really thought this book was cool. It was a bit technical for my four year old son but he was ok with it. I hope he likes it when he gets a little older. This is a great book for talking about the growth mindset and how challenging yourself makes your brain stronger (or so we say in our family).. growth mindset builder I love the explanations without dumbing anything down. A bit tedious for a read aloud, but definitely great information. I used it in my classroom to teach growth mindset and have really seen a huge difference in attitude, effort, and vocabulary.

Story Circle Book Reviews: “The book explains to our children, in easily understood language, pictures and concepts, what the brain is all about, so that an 8-year-old boy could learn much about his skills, his abilities and his potential For the early readers, this book will be delightful in the new words and concepts the child can absorb AND understand while reading to themselves.” Laura Strathman Hulka, Story Circle Book Reviews” (Story Circle Reviews)
