HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Jeffrey Archer is, without doubt, one of the best fiction writers in the world today. His characters are well developed, interesting, and compelling. How he manages to cliff hang you at the end of every chapter, I'll never know. And when he's writing a "chronicle", look out. You want to scream when the last sentence is laid before your eyes because you now have to wait for the next book!It's a rare talent to be this proli. William G. Thompson said Stop When You're Ahead!. I got hooked on this family "history" with the first book so I ordered what I thought were the remaining two. Then I realized as book three ended that there were three more books! I feel that it was becoming too manipulative, introducing new people and episodes just to keep me buying the next one! I enjoyed the story less as it went on because it began to feel unreal.
