tony1970 said Three Stars. It's a college text bookwhat else can be said!. Five Stars Must be a master book for every counsellor.. "Great Textbook for Overview of Different Theories" according to CopperJP. While I did have to buy (or rent or borrow) this book, I didn't have to love it. But I think it's a really great book. It's easy to read and clearly outlines how theories are alike and different. There's one chapter for each approach - Humanist, Adlerian, Psychoanalytic, Cognitive, Behavioral, Transformative, Positive, and more. Each is arranged in the same format, so you can compare them easily. And each is written by an expert in that field, so they are comprehensive. If you want to learn about the theories of psychology, I highly recommend this book (and I own several others).
