We went on a 3 day car ride and he was on his 5th time through by the time we reached our destination. And he's read it more since. He loves this series! We have book #1 and #2 and I'm going to go ahead and buy more after how much he has loved the first two.I haven't read a lot out of it but it has relatively easy reading text that is broken up by cartoon stick figure drawings I presume to be the diary drawings. My son has read me bits and piec. A funny series that the entire family will enjoy Our son recently was exposed to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We ordered the box set as a Christmas gift for him. It was sold out in stores around us because of the popularity. The books do have some funny innuendo's that you may not want your kids repeating but it is age appropriate and our kids know what is appropriate for discussion with their friends. The books are crazy entertaining, funny, and will make you laugh out loud. We use them as bedtime reading. We take 30 minutes every night to read to our son and it is really enjoyable.
