"Extremely informative." according to Dane S. Claussen. Excellent as the DK Eyewitness books always are. Better that Frommer's or Fodor travel guides, and WAY better than Lonely Planet, which are surprisingly popular considering their limited information and extremely limited photos.. Immersive and Informative I've been to dozens of countries in the last 15 years, and I always start with Eyewitness books. They're perfect for planning, gaining insight, and getting excited about upcoming travels. LP is better for logistics, but nothing can replace the immersive elements of Eyewitness. The Thailand book is no exception.. Nice history and details about why things are and what Stephanie Kuhn Nice history and details about why things are and what they mean. Really good descriptions of sites. What I don't like is that this doesn't really prioritize sites, just gives deatails about lots of temples, restaurants, etc. Nice maps! Its certainly worth a read. I learned a lot!
