I preordered this ESV large print journaling Bible, and it is everything I expected it to be. The 9-pt. type size is larger than most journaling Bibles and is easy to read. The paper, while of course still thin, is thicker than many Bible papers. The paper is cream color and the words of Christ are printed in black. The lines in the wide margins are easy to see, but aren't too dark for the margins to be used for illustrations if de. great bible, maybe not for art Amazon Customer Very nice bible. Be aware that it is considerably larger than their other journaling bibles, about the same width but about two inches taller. Comparable in size to a typical large print or study bible. Also, the lines in the margin are solid black lines, which doesn't matter to me, but if you're using it for artistic purposes, the lines may not be as easily covered as the faint dotted lines seen in smaller print versions.
