Though he has some detractors (what writer hasn't? ) Gioraku Though he has some detractors (what writer hasn't?), Haruki Murakami 's oeuvre is of such high quality (indeed, the highest), that it may seem presumptuous to offer critical evaluation of his books at this place in such a limited space. Murakami has succeeded in combining literary depth with thrilling attractiveness in his narratives, in addition to linguistic beauty (this refers to the English translation), humane warmth and universal goodwill. In conclusion, suffice it to say that this reade. Unusual and compelling Amazon Customer I didn't know what to expect other than I read another Murakami book and was very impressed by the mix of the pedestrian and the fantastic. This one wasn't an exception, and kept me guessing what could happen next and delivered until the last line, something that very few books do nowadays.
