Mary A. said Surprised and Pleased. This is the best book she's written in her Civil War series. She presented the Booth family's story fairly, with none of the emotional content she has inserted in some previous books. Some of the information was startling as well as welcome, such as the knowledge that the Booth family were British and abolitionists. JW's descent into sympathy for the South was skillfully done. In the afterward, however, I wish she would have addressed what happened to Booths body, what became of Rosalie and was John Surratt eventually captured? I now cann. Loki said Five Stars.
