While some kindergartners will be able to read this book independently, I feel the target audience is 1st-3rd grade. Jaden is able to read and write at a precocious level for a kindergartner (he writes a 7-page petition!), which is all well and good, but I suspect it's slightly o. A character my little man can completely relate to!! At my son's request (and I do agree!), we give this book FIVE STARS! While some kids JT's age may not read just yet, we found the storyline and the vocabulary to be just fine. It presented a perfect challenge for my little man who is in gifted education. I enjoyed the many positive messages presented here and loving family that JT seems to love just as much. Very good read! Thank you to Marti Dumas for creating such a cool series! Keep them coming!. Chevoque I don't usually read these books, let alone review, but this was really a good way to teach a kid to go out and work for what you believe in/want.The fact that it is 'screen time', is something I imagine some parents won't be very fond of, but I believe it is completely normal and the right way to go about it.I love the diversity and the illustrations are beautiful!So going to follow JT's adventures!
