"Updated version better than original" according to Lara. This updated version, illustrated by Rosalinda Kightley, is better than the original. The original never showed the mother holding the baby whereas the new version does, a couple of times. Neither version shows breastfeeding but the new version cuts back on the bottle feeding at least. My son loves this book and we have tried many. He is 28 months old and most books are too old for him or too detailed to capture his attention. We first borrowed this book from the library, along with all of the others we'. Perfect to prepare for new baby in the house Uniquelyroos We started reading this to our grandson a couple of months before his baby sister was born. I got him a boy baby doll, too. Both helped him prepare for "Sis". He was 16 mos when Sis was born. He is gentle and pats her and says Sis ( he can't say Savannah). This isn't a review for the doll, but we put girl baby clothes on the doll and he calls the doll Sis, too. LOLIt's amazing how young toddlers can comprehend simple well written books like this. Also love board books!. The content helps to convince younger readers (or listeners) that being a big brother is a wonderful thing and that he can be a Such a cute book! We got this for our 3 year old for when we have our new baby. The story is very cute and points out the positives of being a big brother.
