I used this and I passed the N3 I passed the JLPT N3 this past year, through using this series even though I did not complete all of the books. This book just list grammar forms (many times without explanations in English, but it is made for also Chinese and Korean speakers I believe). You could use a website like Jgram to look up more in-dept explanations of the grammar points if you're confused about any of the grammar points listed in this book.
