Not the right copyright. Barbara Kauffman I love this story and that's why I've been wanting a copy. However, the seller said it was a 1941 copy, when in fact it was an updated copyright put out in 1969 or 1976, and I think that should have been stated.. Amazon Customer said Classic. Must have.. A classic that is a beloved story to read over and over. I wasn't sure how my boys would like it since the illustrations are simple, without color, but the story drew them right in. It's a favorite in our house.. a Childhood favorite of mine a Childhood favorite of mine, and now apparently for my children as well. It is so nice to be able to share something with your children that brought you so much joy as a child.
