A great book, but very twisted and disturbing. Jana M I honestly can say this was a book that will stick with me, I couldn't put it down (well, I did take a bit of a break which I'll explain further)! I really enjoyed certain parts but overall I could have done without reading it. I enjoy twisted stories, stories that leave you yearning for more, stories that have the big twist that leave you speechless. This book definitely left me speechless but I almost stopped reading it after the big reveal. It was so disturbing I really couldn't fathom it. It's been 2 days since I finished reading My Girl by Jack Jordan and I can still feel this novel weighing on me. The story plays on repeat in my mind and I'm afraid it will be difficult to get into a next book immediately. To say that I loved the story sounds 'wrong' in some way, as it was a very disturbing and heavy story, but it really was magnificent. There is nothing too graphic in it but it's not necessary either to get the picture and imagine the threat so a fair warning, it does touch different levels of abuse and may not be a story for everyone.The story is that of Paige who lost her daughter 10 y. days since I finished reading My Girl by Jack Jordan and I can still feel this novel weighing on me.
