I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING about this book!The irony in it is, it has a message that caters to children and adults alike!! Let's be truthful. How many books like this were published even in the 80's?? SLIM PICKINGS. I love the fact that it capitalizes on multiculturalism as well as the validity and the esteem of being a brown-hued child. We need soooo many more books like this in our society. The illustrations are soo vivid and authentic!! This book will do excellent as read-alouds in the
