Just as advertised This collection was advertised as "easy" but often its a matter of your point of view. The arrangements are easy to play but still sound like ragtime, unlike many books classified as easy but have songs that sound like a child's primer. The only complaint I have is the binding which is not spiral.. Perfect for ambitious children This book has a fine selection of Joplin's best work. The editing is light-handed: these versions sound terrific. The layout works effectively for younger pianists because the fonts and staffs are large. My son is working through the entire book along with his regular piano lessons because he loves Joplin's rags and because the layout is appealing and. "Not quite easy ie not beginner level" according to Sincerely Yours. I would pitch this more at mid intermediate level as you do need to know how to read the sharps and flats! But otherwise a good compression of the original songs and give you enough pace to enjoy the ragtime rhythms! A nice practice material for someone who is seeking to expand their repertoire.
