Is this the same Baldacci? C'est La Vie I love almost anything by Baldacci, but I think I made the mistake of starting with his later works and working my way down. This book is nothing like his later books and almost appears juvenile in writing style. The plot is confusing and the main character not very likable.I will give the second book in this series a chance though and pray that it will be better. After all at som. J.C.D. said An interesting Story but not his best. I found the story very interesting. A young secret service agent is charged with protecting the vice president. He disappears during a visit to a funeral home which causes her career to implode. A former agent, Sean King, had a similar experience years earlier. They join forces to determine how these things could have happened in a split second. Not one of David Baldacci's best, b. A bit slow to start - but stick with it! This book started out a bit slower than previous David B works I've read but I kept with the story and eventually got hooked into the plot and character development. I'm now reading the 2nd in the series and it's flowing much better since I'm already familiar with the main characters.
