A rare insight into the real everyday world of Black Americans. As I have watched this book com into being over the last two years, I can attest to the quality and integrity of the narrative. Jon is an historian, an actor and a story teller and he brings these admirable skills into the writing of this book. Perhaps I am prejudiced, because we are in a writing group together, but I know good writing when I see it. Not too much of that around these days. Thank you for writing this, Jon. It is a rare insight into the real everyday world of Black Americans.

This book is a collection of four short stories, set in a researched historical setting, or historical fiction
