I have read all three of Eskens ' books. The Life We Bury is still my favorite, but this book definitely didn't disappoint. Eskens has a writing style that grabs on page one, takes many twists and turns, and then drops you at the end with a surprise or two. A good crime story.

Eskens has a writing style that grabs on page one, takes many twists and turns, and then drops you at the end with a surprise or two. A good crime story. I enjoyed this book, but The Life We Bury was much better which is also by this author. I thought the main characters were very believable, but would have liked more information on the actual crime. The ending was wrapped up to quickly.
