A few examples will help illustrate the book's numerous problems.#1. The Unlikely 10-Year OldOne of the book's minor characters is the youngest in the Clifton family, a 10 year old girl who speaks with the wisdom and vocab. Superb followup to his last volume in the Clifton Chronicles! AAA+++ Jeffrey Archer completes volume six of the Clifton Chronicles. I've been a big fan of Archer's books, especially this series "The Clifton Chronicles." Having read the other five, I was anxiously awaiting volume six. I was lucky enough to receive an an advance reader's copy of this sixth volume. I wasn't disappointed, since it just keeps getting better.This picked up, where volume five of the Clifton Chronicles left off, with its own cliffhanger. Archer daftly gave us enough of the previous background, to remind you of the details of the last volume.. Sarah's Grandmother said Hurry Up Jeffrey Archer, More!!!. Book was a "can't put this down". The characters flowed well from the previous books; it was easy for me to pick up right where the author left off with the last one. The twists and turns in the subplots moved through many different scenarios, and left me wanting the next book in the series. Since Archer just released this, I'm afraid it will be a long time before the next one is published.
The story begins with a libel trial and a suicide note, bringing embarrassment and consequences for Emma and Harry Clifton, Lady Virginia Fenwick, and Sir Giles Barrington. She victimizes a wealthy, gullible American in an outrageous scam, but the victim's wife is on to her. Archer continues his storytelling magic to create characters of spellbinding substance, and readers can count on his surprising twists and shocking conclusion. Here, just when the end seems too tidy, Archer provides a killer cliffhanger.
