Chuck Wendig is a novelist, screenwriter, and game designer. He currently lives in the forests of Pennsyltucky with wife, son, and red dog. . Amazon Customer said Terrible characterization and writing style. "Terrible characterization and writing style. 2 stars because the premise is decent" according to Amazon Customer. This could have been a great book if Chuck Wendig wasn't such a terrible writer of Star Wars books (both of them have been bad). Wendig writes in a horribly choppy style that I find to be quite jarring. Additionally, his characterization of well known Star Wars characters is awful. For example, he has Wedge Antilles say "malfeasance"Really? I'm glad there is only one more left in this series. Hopefully Disney doesn't let him write another.. stars because the premise is decent. This could have been a great book if Chuck Wendig wasn't such a terrible writer of Star Wars books (both of them have been bad). "Better than Aftermath, still a bit disappointing" according to Kristin. Better written than Aftermath, and less concern with being clever, but still a considerable dearth of "Star Wars." I'd like more on the Galaxy, back-story, etc., rather than a few pages of one character saying how they fee about some particular situation.. It might have made a good 90's action flick that was a straight to VHS The book is poorly written. Everything is disjointed and the emotional connection between characters seems forced.
