I found out about it by accident when I was visiting Japan and rushed to the bookstore to buy it. It's the most cherished thing I brought back with me. The photos are beautiful and tell a wonderful story of a friendship. It's true there's only a handful of them but for me it's just the right number chosen by the author to say what she wanted to say. There's no description of the photos either but they're powerful enough to send their message.This will be definitely one of those books that you pu. So much more than cat photos Mary J. Miyoko Ihara graduated from the Nippon Photography Institute in 2002. She named the cat Fukumaru, and since then the two have been inseparable. Both friends are hard of hearing, so it is endearing to witness the strength of their connection, enacted through sight and physical presence..
