Two great translations, plus study notes, in one great book! I ordered this bible because it was a hassle to carry around my hardcover copies of the Zondervan NIV Study Bible: Updated Edition and The Message Remix 2.0: The Bible In contemporary Language. I also wanted to have more productive study time; not wasting time finding pages in two books and trying to keep the onion-skin pages from flipping while opening the other.The NIV | T. Great Bible Combination Since I started to hear text from The Message version of the Bible, I was excited to get a copy of my own. The Message is a great way to understand the Bible in more contemporary language and is what I've decided to read daily for the next year. I however didn't want to completely give up the NIV version that is most often used in my church (and a more accurate translation) . SAS-C said Would buy again. I like this bible. The pages are thin and print is small but I can read it ok. Probably not for people with poor eyesight without glasses. It's nice having the two passages to compare. It's not as thick and heavy as I thought it would be so that is a plus. The pink is exactly what I was looking for.
