Down to earth devotionals reminding me that Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not a church. Many churches do not address real life issues, Joyce Meyers reminds us that God meets us where we are; in our home, in our workplace, and through every second of our own lives, with our own real ups and downs. I've heard about trusting the Lord all my life but still felt I had to measure up . This Joyce Meyer book reminded me that God do. "I was very disappointed with the writing style of this book" according to RG. I was very disappointed with the writing style of this book. It sounded a bit closed minded and condescending. The tone just rubbed me the wrong way. It actually made me feel worse rather than uplift me spiritually. I don't feel this book is right for me. I wish I could return it. Also, listing a Bible verse as a reference but not stating what the verse says is so unhelpful.
