I enjoyed reading about the early years of Smoke I enjoyed reading about the early years of Smoke, Sally, and Preacher. These are 3 iconic characters who have provided many years of western enjoyment reading. I suggest if your new to these stories that this would be a great place to start the series and you will proba. Not bad but kinda a rehash I like it but it was not as good as the other books in the series. It was a repeat of all that made Smoke Jensen and some of the original stories in previous books facts were changed. I thought it was okay but prefer newer stories.. Martha Catoe Peebles said Great book. This is the second time I have read this book. It is as good the second time as the first. I really enjoy the books on Smoke and Preacher.
